Ok ladies.
It’s time to talk honestly about something I’ve heard from so many single Christian women lately. It seems we’ve all been doing an awful lot of number crunching, and the numbers just don’t seem to be adding up.
Based on our calculations, it seems there are far more single Christian women than men.
And whether it’s actually true or not, it certainly FEELS that way, and it’s discouraging.
I get it.
I get seeing the new guy walk through the church doors as every single woman turns her head and whispers to the girl next to her, ready to make her move and beat the odds.
You start to feel limited. Like the possibilities have dwindled. The math doesn’t add up. The likelihood of ever having this desire of your heart fulfilled seems to be fading, and it feels you’ll have to fight your single sisters like the Hunger Games of dating for there to be any chance.
But I’m here to tell you something, and I hope you’ll hear me today.
Our God is not, in any way, by any stretch of the imagination limited by the limits that we see. It doesn’t matter that the numbers don’t seem to add up right now. And it doesn’t matter if we can’t fathom or understand how things could possibly work out. All that matters is that no matter the laundry list of barriers we see or lead ourselves to believe, God is not phased. And he’s certainly not discouraged.
Of this I can assure you.
So have hope my sisters.
We don’t need to understand it. We don’t need to know how God will do it. We only need to know that He can.
Our God is beyond the math, beyond the barriers, beyond the limits.
You can count on that.
