“It’s never going to happen for me.”
How many times have you had this thought when you found out that someone else was getting married, or even just got a boyfriend? This thought that because someone else has what you hope for, it can’t or for some reason won’t happen for you now? Honestly, I think my own personal count is probably nearing the thousands.
But there’s something I’ve come to know that I need to tell you, in case you’ve found yourself in that place today, and I desperately hope that you’ll hear me:
Just because something happens for someone else before it happens for you, doesn’t mean it can’t or won’t happen for you.
Did you catch that? One more time for the people in the back:
Just because something happens for someone else before it happens for you, doesn’t mean it can’t or won’t happen for you. The two literally have no bearing on one another.
There aren’t a certain number of marriages handed out and once they’re gone, that’s it. That girl from your high school that you follow on Instagram? She didn’t get the last one.
You haven’t missed your chance, the boat, or anything else because of what has happened for her. Her present story does not dictate the future of yours, sweet friend.
I can promise you this. ♥️
